Create
Your Own Reality Our thoughts create
our reality, every part of it! To some, this is a disturbing idea. To
others, it is a challenge, a grand opportunity. It is certainly a difficult
concept to fully embrace in today's society. After all, for most of us, our
thoughts run rampant, with little conscious control on our part. Are our thoughts
more powerful than we know? Have you ever wished for some small prize, such
as winning a free dinner from a radio station, and had the momentary
feeling that you were going to win, only to have them call your name on the
radio, moments later? For
one instant in time, you wanted to win that prize. You didn't have time to
talk yourself out of believing that winning was possible. Your thought
manifested into reality because you followed the three basic rules of
creation -- to want something, to believe you can have it, and to allow it.
We all create our realities every day in small, inconsequential ways. How
many times do you predict that something will happen, good or bad, only to
have it manifest? I once heard a
story of a man who lived in a big city. Each day, as he left for work, he
watched the traffic, Inevitably, when it was time for him to pull out onto
the street, traffic would increase and he'd have to wait ten minutes to
pull out. Even if the street was clear five minutes earlier, he would
always have to wait. He tried everything, including leaving at different
times but, without fail, the cars would form a steady stream the moment he
approached the end of his street. Without realizing it, he was creating a
negative reality because he believed he was someone with constant bad luck. Certainly, everyone knows someone who
seems to be on an unending streak of good fortune. They always win at
bingo, always win the football pool, never fail to get the lucky 50/50
ticket . . . Aren't they always cheerful, claiming, "I always
win!" They believe they will win, and usually they do. Our thoughts
create our reality. Try this experiment. Pretend that your thoughts really do create your reality. Start with something small, something that you want to happen. The more intensity of emotion you are feeling towards your desire, the faster it will manifest into reality. Imagine what you want, state that you intend for it to happen, then allow it. In other words, don't miscreate. Don't state in your mind that you want something but you can't have it for whatever reason. Allowing our desires to manifest is where most of us have problems and why many things we desire don't actually come true. Here's an example:- You are driving to your local mechanic to have your headlight replaced. You know he will be busy, but he told you to stop by. You can imagine his reaction, that frown on his face and the way he shakes his head, telling you he can't get to it right now. Then, you stop yourself. You realize that you are creating a negative scenario. If you decide he will react to you in that manner, then be assured that the drama will unfold just as you thought it would. Instead, try this:- Imagine how you want the scenario to occur. Picture your mechanic smiling pleasantly and having just finished his other work. He squeezes you in and has no difficulty replacing the headlight. Then, hold the positive thoughts, not allowing any negative images to come into your mind. You will be amazed at how perfectly your imagined scenario unfolds. It feels like your mechanic is an actor on a stage, he knows his part perfectly, and you have suddenly become the Director. Experiment with this concept. It truly does work!
You can even play with the weather, willing the rain to ease up as you're
leaving your car to dash into the mall. So how is this possible, metaphysically? What
is really going on? First, you must realize that all life is comprised of
energy, including our thoughts. We know that whatever action we take will
produce a result, whether positive or negative. In the same way, thoughts also produce either a good or a bad
result. The intensity of emotion behind the thought determines how quickly
the result will occur. Love is the strongest emotion and will often produce
instantaneous results. Love commands the adamantine particles, which are
the most basic, irreducible building blocks of matter, also referred to as
the 'God cells'. It is these cells which come together to create matter, or
reality.
On a spiritual level, think of life as a grand play, an intricate drama. You can either be an actress in your play, or you can be the Director. It is your choice. We are only limited by our beliefs. Anything is possible. Yes, it does take great effort to control our thoughts and to have enough faith in the creative process to believe that we can do anything. It takes work and we must constantly remind ourselves of our divine birthright. Once mankind begins to create their own reality consistently and on a conscious level, then we will move to the next stage of our evolution. We must have faith that we are all made in the image of the Creator, as a part of the Creator, that is what we do -- we create! Our sole purpose, the one reason for all our lifetimes here on earth is to learn how to re-create ourselves. For, we are already perfect. Now, we must re-member (or re-connect) to that divine part of ourselves that has the ability to create worlds without end. Then, life will be joyful, indeed.
